Our Mission

At Community R.E.C. Therapies, our mission is to help others have a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.  We strive to provide excellent home and community based service with top notch therapists, which means every program, every goal, and every session is tailored to meet the needs of your child and/or family member.

What to Expect

Initial Meeting

While there are many companies and therapists serving others, we hope that you’ll see Community R.E.C. Therapies is a little different. All therapy programs begin with an in-home meeting between family and therapist(s) to discuss medical history, personal background, and current therapeutic involvement. This first session allows the therapist to ask important questions about your family member and to document necessary information, such as medicinal needs, allergies, and contraindications for therapy. Additionally, this “Meet & Greet” provides the family with a transitional avenue into therapy. The child and/or adult can observe the therapist in their home, creating a neutral environment to engage and explore their thoughts and feelings. This way, transition into therapy during the next session will be expected and much more smooth. From here on, all therapeutic programs are a mixture of 1:1 home-based activities, 1:1 outings, and group outings. Each therapist will utilize his or her own training to provide appropriate therapeutic interventions for his or her client.

Staff Training

All staff members have graduated from college with a minimum of a Bachelor ‘s Degree and are certified/licensed to practice within the state of Texas. In addition, all Therapists have CPR/AED through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, professional liability insurance, auto insurance, and current driver’s license. Individuals who provide Aquatic Therapy services have emergency water safety (American Red Cross), water safety instruction, and/or lifeguard certification as well as additional training in aquatics. Many of our staff members go above and beyond to secure additional certifications and/or specialization degrees to provide even greater opportunities for our clients.
